The Blog Begins

Thank you for taking time to subscribe and read this blog. If you have followed my site in the past, you will notice that many changes have been made and previous content has been scrapped. It is my intention to recreate "Kennyrager.com" into a church planting blog that documents and recalls my family's church planting journey.

This new approach to blogging will hopefully benefit those who are exploring the journey of church planting, those who are currently in church planting and those who have already planted and are now in the process of birthing other churches from their established church. I also hope to keep partners and friends informed about what God is doing in our church plant in Owensboro Kentucky. In addition to blog postings I have also included (on the right side of this screen) book and resource listings that have been an incredible help to me, likewise I hope they help you too. I also hope to include the occasional blog post from a church member or from other friends about the church planting process.

If you are new to this blog, let me introduce myself.

My name is Kenny Rager and I am currently planting The Life Community Church in Owensboro Kentucky. I have a wonderful family (Taran, Gracie, and Hope) who are also part of this journey. I first felt this call to plant a church several years ago after I graduated from Campbesllville University and after marrying my wife. It took several years, the completion of my MDiv from Liberty University, my then current ministry, several books, and guidance from mentors to fully understand when, where, and how God was going to use me to plant a church. We began the church planting process back in August of 2012 and are now several months into the planting of "Life Community Church".
